If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Malkerns Valley. Head southeast on the main road (MR3) toward Malkerns. Continue for approximately 2 kilometers until you see a sign for Sondzela Backpackers. Turn right onto a dirt road, following the signs leading you toward G53W+W4. After about 1 kilometer, you will arrive at Sondzela Backpackers, which is located within a national park. There is no parking fee, but ensure your vehicle is suitable for dirt roads.

For those using public transportation, start by taking a taxi or minibus from Mbabane to Malkerns. The fare typically ranges from SZL 20 to SZL 50, depending on the vehicle and the number of passengers. Once in Malkerns, ask the driver to drop you off at the main intersection near the MR3 road. From there, you can either walk or hire a local taxi to take you directly to Sondzela Backpackers. The walking distance is about 2 kilometers, which will take approximately 25–30 minutes. If you choose to walk, follow the main road heading southeast until you see the sign for Sondzela Backpackers on your right.
