Walking
From the center of Malkerns, head south on Main Street towards the Malkerns Valley. After about 500 meters, you will reach the intersection with the MR3 road. Turn left onto MR3. Continue walking on MR3, which will lead you towards the Mbabane direction. After approximately 3 kilometers, look for a bus stop where you can catch a local taxi or minibus heading to Forbes Reef.

Minibus Taxi
Once you reach the bus stop, board any minibus taxi that has 'Forbes Reef' or 'Malolotja' written on it. The fare is usually around 15 to 25 Emalangeni. The minibus will take you along the MR3. Inform the driver that you are headed to Malolotja National Park. The journey will take about 20-30 minutes depending on traffic. Get off at the Forbes Reef entrance to Malolotja National Park.
