Car
If you're driving, start from the center of Piggs Peak and head southeast on the main road. Follow the signs towards Mbabane. After about 15 km, you will approach a fork in the road. Take the left fork onto the Unnamed Road. Continue for approximately 5 km until you see a sign for Hilltop hiking trailhead. The trailhead is located at coordinates -26.3516638, 31.1144249. There is a small parking area available.
Public Transportation
To reach Hilltop hiking trailhead via public transport, take a local taxi or minibus from Piggs Peak to Mbabane. Ask the driver to drop you off at the junction leading to the Unnamed Road towards Hilltop. From there, it’s about a 5 km walk along the Unnamed Road to the trailhead. Be sure to ask locals for directions if you're unsure. The taxi fare should be around E20-30, depending on your negotiating skills.
Walking
If you are already near the center of Piggs Peak and prefer walking, you can head southeast towards Mbabane. After leaving the main road, turn onto the Unnamed Road and follow it for about 5 km. Be mindful of the road conditions and traffic, as it may not have pedestrian walkways. This is a great way to enjoy the scenery, but ensure you are prepared with enough water and sun protection.
