From any location in the Usuthu River Basin, head towards Mbabane, the capital city of Eswatini. Use the H100 road which connects various parts of the basin. Once in Mbabane, follow the signs towards the Malolotja Nature Reserve. The reserve is approximately 26 kilometers from the city center. There is a well-marked road leading to the reserve entrance. Be aware that there is an entrance fee of 70 ZAR per person, which can be paid with credit cards.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, take a bus or shared taxi from your location within the Usuthu River Basin to Mbabane. Once in Mbabane, you will need to find a local taxi or minibus that can take you to Malolotja Nature Reserve. Confirm with the driver that they are heading to the reserve, as not all public transport vehicles may be familiar with it. The fare to Malolotja from Mbabane should be reasonable; however, always ask for the price beforehand. Remember to have cash on hand for the entrance fee of 70 ZAR per person.
