Getting there

Walking

If you are starting from the Bole Medhane Alem Church, head east on Bole Road for approximately 500 meters. You will reach a large intersection with a traffic light. Continue straight until you reach the next major intersection with Yeka Road.

At the intersection, turn left onto Yeka Road. Walk for about 1 kilometer, passing by various shops and cafes on your right. You will see a large traffic circle ahead.

Upon reaching the traffic circle, take the second exit onto Yekatit 12 Street. Continue walking straight for about 300 meters. You will soon see the 6 Kilo Yekatit 12 Square on your left, which is marked by a large monument.

Public Transport (Minibus)

Alternatively, you can take a minibus from Bole to the center of Addis Ababa. Head to the nearest minibus station, and look for a minibus heading towards Meskel Square. It will cost approximately 10 to 20 Ethiopian Birr. Get off at Meskel Square and walk about 1 kilometer northeast to reach 6 Kilo Yekatit 12 Square.

Public Transport (Bajaj)

For a more comfortable option, you can take a Bajaj (three-wheeled taxi) from anywhere in Bole to 6 Kilo Yekatit 12 Square. The fare is usually around 50 to 100 Ethiopian Birr, depending on your starting location. Just inform the driver of your destination.
