From the center of Awasa, head east towards the main road (Bishoftu Road). Continue walking straight for about 1 km until you reach the intersection with the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto the road leading towards Tabor Mountain. Keep an eye out for local signs indicating the direction to Tabor Mountain. After about 500 meters, you will reach a path that leads up the mountain. Follow the path, which will take you up the slope. The hike will take approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on your pace. If you have access to a bicycle, start from the central area of Awasa and ride towards Bishoftu Road. Continue on this road for about 1 km until you reach the roundabout.
