From the center of Awasa, head east towards the main road (Bishoftu Road). Continue walking straight for about 1 km until you reach the intersection with the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto the road leading towards Tabor Mountain. Keep an eye out for local signs indicating the direction to Tabor Mountain. After about 500 meters, you will reach a path that leads up the mountain. Follow the path, which will take you up the slope. The hike will take approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on your pace. Bicycle
If you have access to a bicycle, start from the central area of Awasa and ride towards Bishoftu Road. Continue on this road for about 1 km until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit, following signs for Tabor Mountain. After about 500 meters, you will see a designated bike path leading up the mountain. This route is a bit steep, so be prepared for a workout. The entire ride should take around 20-30 minutes.

Public Transport
To reach Tabor Mountain via public transport, locate a local minibus or 'bajaji' (three-wheeled taxi) that goes towards the Bishoftu Road. Board the vehicle and tell the driver you are heading to Tabor Mountain. They will drop you off at the intersection with the roundabout after about 15 minutes. From there, you will need to walk approximately 500 meters toward the mountain path leading up to Tabor Mountain. The walk will take around 10-15 minutes.
