Walking
If you are starting from the center of Awasa (near the Hawassa Fish Market), head southeast towards the main road, which is called the Hawassa-Adama Road (also known as the A1 road). Walk along this road for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach a major intersection. Keep an eye out for local signs or ask locals for directions to Amora Gedel Park as you walk along. At the intersection, turn left onto the road leading directly to the park. Continue walking straight for about 500 meters until you see the entrance to Amora Gedel Park on your right.
Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in the center of Awasa. Start your journey by cycling southeast towards the Hawassa-Adama Road (A1). Keep cycling along this road for approximately 1.5 kilometers until you hit a major intersection. At this point, turn left onto the road that leads directly to Amora Gedel Park. Continue for about 500 meters, and you will find the entrance on your right. Make sure to follow the local traffic rules while cycling.
Public Transport (Buses or Minibuses)
To reach Amora Gedel Park via public transport, head to the nearest bus station in Awasa. Look for a bus or minibus heading towards the southern part of the city or specifically towards Amora Gedel Park. Once on board, inform the driver or conductor that you want to get off at Amora Gedel Park. The ride should take around 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic. When you arrive, disembark and walk towards the entrance of the park, which should be nearby.
