From the center of Awasa, head southeast towards the shores of Lake Awasa. You can start at the Awasa Fish Market which is located near the lakeside. Walk south along the main road, enjoying the local shops and stalls. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the lake. You will see signs pointing toward the lakeside attractions.
Bicycle
You can rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Awasa. Start from the city center and ride south along the main road towards Lake Awasa. Follow the road signs directing you to the lake. The ride should take about 10-15 minutes, depending on your pace. As you approach the lake, you will see various entry points to access the lakeside.
Public Transport (Bajaj)
Look for a Bajaj (three-wheeled taxi) in the city center. Inform the driver that you want to go to Lake Awasa. The ride should take around 10 minutes. You can ask to be dropped off at the lakeside area where you will find parks and beautiful views of the lake. The fare is usually negotiable, so agree on a price before starting your journey.
