If you are starting from the central market area of Axum, head southeast along Main Street (also known as ምርጭ ጎዳና). Continue straight until you reach the intersection with ምርጭ ጎዳና ስም ዘይምጽአት ቤተ ክርስቲያን. Turn left and walk down this road for about 500 meters. You will see the Axum Tsion St. Mary Church on your right side, marked by its tall stone walls.

If you are near the Obelisk of Axum, start by heading northwest towards the main road. Follow the road until you reach the roundabout, then take the second exit onto Main Street. Continue walking for about 1 kilometer and watch for the signs indicating Axum Tsion St. Mary Church, which will be on your left.
