From the center of Bahir Dar, head towards the main road called 'Mekele Road'. You can rent a bicycle from one of the local shops nearby. Once on Mekele Road, ride for about 30 minutes until you reach the junction with 'Debre Markos Road'. Turn left onto Debre Markos Road and continue for approximately 15 kilometers. Follow the signs towards 'Blue Nile Falls'. You will pass by small villages and beautiful landscapes along the way. Once you see the signs for the waterfall, you will have to park your bicycle and walk the last few hundred meters to the entrance.
