Getting There

Walking
From the center of Bahir Dar, head east on Abay Avenue (the main road) towards the roundabout. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with the road leading to the Blue Nile Bridge. Take a left onto the road towards the bridge. Walk for about 1 kilometer past several shops and local eateries until you reach the bridge. Cross the bridge, enjoying the views of the Blue Nile River. After crossing, continue straight for about 500 meters until you see a dirt road on your right. Take the dirt road and follow it for another 1 kilometer until you see signs or local people directing you to Yike Hai. It should be along the road in a park-like setting.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in Bahir Dar. Start at the center and head east on Abay Avenue. Follow the same route as for walking, but you can take the dirt road earlier to avoid foot traffic. After crossing the Blue Nile Bridge, you can cycle along the road, keeping an eye out for signs pointing to Yike Hai. The cycling distance is approximately 2.5 kilometers from the town center.

To reach Yike Hai using public transport, locate the minibus station in the center of Bahir Dar. Look for a minibus heading towards the Blue Nile Bridge or the surrounding areas. The fare is usually very affordable. Once you board, tell the driver your destination (Yike Hai), and they will drop you off at the nearest stop to the park. After getting off, you may need to walk about 500 meters following the previous walking directions to reach Yike Hai.
