From the center of Bahir Dar, head towards the main road (also known as the Gonder Road). Walk straight until you reach the roundabout at the entrance of the city. At the roundabout, take the exit towards Dek Island using the signs indicating the direction. Continue walking straight for about 2 km until you reach the shores of Lake Tana.
