Walking
From the center of Debre Markos, head east on the main road towards the bus station. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with the road leading to Gondar (Road 3). Turn left onto Road 3 and continue walking for approximately 2 kilometers. Look for signs indicating the direction to Gondar. After about 30 minutes of walking, you will see a bus station on your left side. This is the bus station where you can catch a minibus or a shared taxi to Gondar.
Minibus
Once you reach the bus station, look for a minibus heading to Gondar. The fare is usually around 50 Ethiopian Birr. The journey to Gondar will take approximately 2 to 3 hours, depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Gondar, ask the driver to drop you off at Fasil Ghebbi or nearby. The site is located at JF59+6V2, Gondar, and should be within walking distance from the drop-off point.
Walking from Gondar
After being dropped off near Fasil Ghebbi, head towards the entrance. You will see the historical landmark just a short walk away. Follow the signs or ask locals for direction if needed. Fasil Ghebbi is well-known, so most people will be able to guide you there.
