Start from the Harar Jugol (Old Walled City), which is a central point for most tourists. Head southeast towards the main street, which is called 'Jigjiga Road'. Continue walking along this road for about 10 minutes until you reach the junction with 'Mekele Road'. At this junction, look for local signs or ask locals for directions to Chehar goga tham jegol, as it is a well-known garden in the area. After the junction, continue on 'Mekele Road' and take the first right after about 5 minutes. Walk straight for another 5 minutes, and you will see the entrance to Chehar goga tham jegol on your left.
Bicycle
If you prefer to cycle, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Harar. Start at the Harar Jugol and head southeast towards 'Jigjiga Road'. Cycle along 'Jigjiga Road' for about 10 minutes until you reach the junction with 'Mekele Road'. Turn right onto 'Mekele Road' and continue cycling straight for about 5 minutes. Take the first right after 5 minutes and cycle for another 5 minutes until you reach Chehar goga tham jegol, which will be on your left.
Public Transport (Local Minibus)
From the Harar Jugol, walk to the nearest local minibus station. Look for a minibus that is heading towards 'Mekele Road' or the Jegol area. Board the minibus and inform the driver that you want to go to Chehar goga tham jegol. The ride should take approximately 15 minutes. Once you arrive near the Jegol area, disembark and ask locals for the specific directions to Chehar goga tham jegol, which should be just a short walk away.
