Getting There

Walking
From the central part of Harar, head east towards the Harar Jugol (the old walled city). Walk past the Harar Grand Mosque on your left. Continue straight on the main road, which should take you through a vibrant local market. Keep walking until you reach the intersection with the road leading to the Harar National Museum. Turn right at the intersection and continue walking for about 10 minutes. You will see a sign for Visit Harar on your left, which is located just before the entrance to the museum.

Bicycle
If you have access to a bicycle, start from the main square in Harar (known as 'Meskel Square'). Cycle towards the Harar Jugol, passing the vibrant local shops on both sides. Once you reach the east side of the Jugol, take a left turn onto the road leading to the Harar National Museum. Continue pedaling for about 10 minutes, and you will find Visit Harar on your left, just before the museum entrance.

To reach Visit Harar using public transport, find the nearest minibus station in Harar. Take a minibus that heads towards the Harar Jugol. Inform the driver you want to stop at the Harar National Museum. After about a 10-minute ride, get off at the museum.
