Begin your journey at the center of Mekele, particularly in the area around the Mekele Market (also known as 'Kirkos'). From the market, head south towards the main road, known as 'Abiy Addi Road'. Once you reach Abiy Addi Road, turn left and continue walking for approximately 1 kilometer until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto 'Gedu Road'. Continue walking along Gedu Road for about 2 kilometers. As you walk, you will notice various local shops and cafes. Keep an eye out for any signs indicating directions to Adi Fengats'. After 2 kilometers, you will come to a junction; take a right turn onto 'Adi Fengats' road. Follow this road for about 1 kilometer, and you will arrive at the area marked 'G8FC+J88', which is the location of Kolal Awli'e. The preserve is known for its beautiful natural scenery, so be sure to take some time to enjoy the surroundings once you arrive.

Public Transport (Minibus)
Start your journey at the main bus station in Mekele, located near the city center. Look for a minibus heading towards Adi Fengats'. These minibuses are usually marked with their destinations on the front windshield. Board the minibus and inform the driver that you want to go to Kolal Awli'e. The fare is generally affordable, and the ride should take about 30 minutes, depending on traffic. Once you reach Adi Fengats', ask the driver to drop you off near the G8FC+J88 area. From there, it will be a short walk to the entrance of the Kolal Awli'e nature preserve. Make sure to pay attention to your surroundings and follow any signs that direct you towards the preserve.
