Car
If you are traveling by car, start your journey from the center of Shewa. Head southeast towards the town of Liben Chukala, which is approximately 30 kilometers away. Follow the main road (known as the Addis Ababa - Adama Road) for about 25 kilometers until you reach the junction leading to Liben Chukala. Turn left at the junction and continue for another 5 kilometers until you see signs for Mount Ziquala. Be prepared for a gradual ascent as you approach the mountain.

Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a minibus from Shewa to Liben Chukala. Minibuses leave regularly from the main bus station in Shewa. The fare is approximately 20 Ethiopian Birr (ETB). Once you arrive in Liben Chukala, you can either hire a local taxi or take a short walk to the base of Mount Ziquala, which is about 2 kilometers away. If you hire a taxi, expect to pay around 50 ETB for the short trip.

Hiking
Upon reaching the base of Mount Ziquala, you will need to hike to the summit. The hike is moderately challenging and takes about 2 to 3 hours depending on your fitness level.
