Getting there

Walking

From the center of Awasa, head north towards the Awasa Lake. Keep the lake on your left side as you walk along the main road. Continue walking for about 2 kilometers until you reach the junction near the Awasa Stadium. At the junction, turn left onto the road heading towards Seraro. Walk for about 4 kilometers, passing through small villages and local markets. Look out for signs indicating Seraro. Once you reach Seraro, you may need to ask locals for directions to Budameda hayq, which is located approximately 1 kilometer from the main road, following paths that lead towards the scenic views of the lake.

Bicycle

Rent a bicycle in Awasa and head towards the lakeside road. Pedal north along the lakeshore for about 2 kilometers until you reach the road leading to Awasa Stadium. Turn left at the junction and continue for about 4 kilometers. The route is generally flat and offers beautiful views. After entering Seraro, ask locals for the most direct path to Budameda hayq, which is roughly 1 kilometer ahead, off the main road.

Public Transport (Minibus)

From Awasa's central bus station, catch a minibus heading towards Seraro. The fare is quite low, and the buses run frequently. After about 30 minutes, get off at Seraro. Once you arrive, ask the driver or locals for directions to Budameda hayq, which is about a 1-kilometer walk from the drop-off point. Follow any paths that seem to lead towards the scenic areas, as Budameda hayq is known for its natural beauty.
