• Car

  If you are traveling by car to Water Fall Yaye, start from the Bale Mountains National Park headquarters in Dinsho. Take the road heading southeast towards Goba. After approximately 30 km, you will arrive at a junction. Take the left turn towards Arbagoma. Continue on this road for about 10 km until you reach the village of Arbagoma. From here, follow the local signs directing you to Water Fall Yaye, which is approximately 8 km further into the hills. The roads may be unpaved, so a vehicle with good clearance is recommended. Be prepared for a scenic drive with potential wildlife sightings along the way.

• Public Transportation

  To access Water Fall Yaye via public transportation, you can take a minibus or bus from Goba to Arbagoma. Buses leave regularly from Goba and the fare is usually around 50-100 Ethiopian Birr. Once you arrive in Arbagoma, hire a local guide or a tuk-tuk (around 200-300 Birr) to take you to Water Fall Yaye, which is located about 8 km from the village. It is advisable to negotiate the fare beforehand and arrange for a return trip.

• Hiking

  For the more adventurous traveler, hiking to Water Fall Yaye is a rewarding option. From the village of Arbagoma, follow the footpaths leading into the hills. The hike is approximately 8 km and can take 2-3 hours depending on your pace. Ensure you have a local guide who knows the trails, as the paths can be tricky to navigate. Make sure to wear sturdy hiking boots and bring plenty of water and snacks for the journey.
