If you're driving, start from the main entrance of Simien Mountains National Park. Take the road towards Debark and continue for about 24 kilometers until you reach the village of Adahunat. From Adahunat, follow the signs towards Dek Island. The road becomes more rugged, so a 4x4 vehicle is recommended. Upon reaching Dek Island, park your car in the designated area. Narga Selassie is located just a short 10-minute walk from the parking area.

For those using public transport, you can catch a bus or minibus from Debark to Adahunat. Buses leave frequently from Debark's main bus station. Once you arrive in Adahunat, you may need to hire a local guide or use a taxi to reach Dek Island, as public transportation does not reach the monastery directly. The taxi ride from Adahunat to Dek Island typically costs around 200-300 Ethiopian Birr. Once you reach Dek Island, Narga Selassie is a short 10-minute walk from where you are dropped off.
