Bale Mountains National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is situated approximately 400 kilometers southeast of Addis Ababa in the Oromia region of Ethiopia. Established in 1969, the park spans over 2,200 square kilometers and encompasses a remarkable range of habitats, from lush evergreen forests and giant bamboo stands to moorlands and river valleys.The park's diverse ecosystems support a high concentration of endemic species, making it a biodiversity hotspot.
