Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car from Wollo, start by heading south on the main road towards Addis Ababa. Continue on this road for approximately 45 kilometers until you reach the town of Bishoftu. Upon entering Bishoftu, follow the signs for Kuriftu Water Park. The water park is located on the outskirts of the town, and you will find it easily accessible from the main road. Parking is available on-site, but be prepared for a potential parking fee.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, take a minibus from Wollo to Bishoftu. The minibuses usually depart from designated minibus stations in Wollo and take around 1 to 1.5 hours to reach Bishoftu, with a fare typically costing between 30 to 50 Ethiopian Birr. Once you arrive in Bishoftu, you can either walk or take a local taxi to Kuriftu Water Park, which is about 10-15 minutes away from the bus station. Taxi fares in Bishoftu are generally affordable, ranging from 50 to 100 Ethiopian Birr depending on your negotiation skills and the distance.

• Walking

  If you're already in Bishoftu and prefer to walk, you can navigate to Kuriftu Water Park from the town center. Head east on the main road, and after about 2 kilometers, you will see signs directing you to the water park. Walking could take approximately 25-30 minutes, so make sure to wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated.
