Walking
The hike to Hvannhagi begins above the hospital in Tvøroyri. From the hospital, walk up to Ovari Vegur and continue left towards Trongisvágur. After approximately 1.5 kilometers, you'll reach a gate leading to the outfield, marked with a sign for Hvannhagi. Follow the orange-colored posts along the path, which ascends gradually. The hike to Hvannhagi takes about 1 hour. There is no fee to hike to Hvannhagi.
Public Transport
To reach Tvøroyri, take the ferry Smyril from Tórshavn. The ferry ride takes approximately 2 hours. From the ferry terminal in Tvøroyri, it is approximately a 20-minute walk to the hospital, where the Hvannhagi hike begins. A single adult ticket on the Smyril ferry costs around 75 DKK.
