  • Walking

    The National Gallery is about a 10-minute walk from the city center of Tórshavn. Head north from the city center towards Gundadalsvegur. The gallery is located in Viðalundin Park. Follow the signs pointing towards the gallery as you walk.

  • Public Transport

    Take the red city bus number 2. Get off at the bus stop called Gundadalur, which is right by the gallery. Most buses also stop at R. C. Effersøes gøta (Læknamiðstøðin), about 300 meters from the museum. The local buses in Tórshavn are free.

  • Taxi

    Taxis are available in Tórshavn. A 5km taxi ride in Tórshavn costs approximately 75 DKK. Taxi fares consist of a base fee of 75 DKK, and waiting time is charged at 400 DKK per hour.
