From the city center of Tórshavn, Tórsvøllur is located approximately 1 kilometer north. Walk along Tinghúsvegur, and you'll reach the stadium in about 15 minutes. The stadium is situated in the Gundadalur sports complex.

Public Transport

From the Tórshavn Tourist Information Center, take Bus Line 1 or 2 towards Gundadalur. Get off at the 'Gundadalur' stop, from where the stadium is a short walk away. As of July 2025, a 24-hour travel ticket costs 100 DKK.

Tórsvøllur, situated in the Gundadalur sports complex in Tórshavn, stands as the premier football venue in the Faroe Islands. Since its opening on July 9, 1999, with a friendly match between the Faroe Islands national team and Aalborg Boldspilklub, it has been the home of Faroese international football.Initially featuring natural grass, Tórsvøllur transitioned to artificial turf in 2012 to better withstand the Faroese climate. The stadium has undergone several renovations, including the addition of floodlights in 2011 and new stands, bringing the seating capacity to 6,040. A modern west stand, completed in 2021, includes a media room and dressing rooms.Tórsvøllur not only hosts national team matches but also the Faroe Islands Cup final and European matches for local clubs. The stadium is easily accessible from Tórshavn city center, offering a focal point for sports fans and a venue for community events. Its location amidst other sports facilities and proximity to the city center make it a vibrant hub in the Faroese capital.
