From Gjógv, head south on the main road (Route 10) towards Lítla Dímun. Continue on Route 10 for approximately 2 kilometers until you reach a fork in the road. Take the left fork to stay on Route 10. Keep driving for another 5 kilometers, following the signs towards Hvannhagi. Eventually, you will see a small parking area on the right side, which serves as the starting point for the hike to Hvannhagi.

While there is limited public transportation directly to Hvannhagi, you can take a bus from Gjógv to the nearest town, Eiði. Check the local bus schedules for the latest times (the fare is typically around 30 DKK). From Eiði, you will need to either arrange for a taxi or walk approximately 4 kilometers to reach the trailhead for Hvannhagi. The walk will take you along the scenic coastal route, offering beautiful views of the surrounding landscape.
