Car
To reach Faeroes from Hestur Island by car, start by driving to the ferry terminal located at Hestur. The ferry runs regularly to the mainland town of Torshavn. Once you arrive in Torshavn, follow the signs to Route 10, which will take you towards the northern part of the islands. After approximately 30 minutes of driving, you will reach the area where Faeroes is located. Note that parking may be limited, so look for designated areas.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, begin at Hestur and take the ferry to Torshavn. The ferry ride is approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Torshavn, head to the bus terminal located near the harbor. Take Bus Line 1 towards the northern islands. The ride will take about 45 minutes. Be sure to check the bus schedule in advance, as they may not run frequently. Upon getting off at the nearest stop to Faeroes, you may need to walk a short distance to reach the destination.
Ferry
The ferry from Hestur to Torshavn operates several times a day, and tickets can be purchased at the terminal or online. The cost is approximately 60 DKK per person for a one-way trip. Make sure to check the ferry schedule in advance to plan your trip, as times may vary depending on the season.
