From Hvalvík, begin your journey by heading south on the main street, 'Hvalvíkarvegur'. Continue straight until you reach the fork in the road. Take the left path towards 'Sandavágur'. After about 1.5 kilometers, you will come to the village of Sandavágur. As you enter the village, keep an eye out for signs pointing towards 'Bøsdalafossur'.

Once in Sandavágur, follow the signs that will lead you towards the hiking trail for Bøsdalafossur. The trailhead is located near the 'Sandavágur Church'. It's a well-marked path, so you should be able to easily find it. The hike to the waterfall is approximately 4 kilometers from the trailhead.

As you start your hike, follow the trail that takes you along the beautiful landscape of the Faroe Islands. The path may be rocky and uneven, so wear sturdy shoes. After about 30 minutes of hiking, you will reach a viewpoint where you can catch your first glimpse of the waterfall.
