Start from the center of Hvalvík, near the Church of Hvalvík. Head southwest along the main road (Road 430) towards the coastline. Continue on this road for approximately 1 kilometer until you reach the fork in the road. At the fork, take the left path that leads you onto a dirt path heading towards the mountains. This path will take you up the hill. Follow the path for about 2 kilometers, enjoying the scenic views. You will pass several small sheep farms along the way. Keep an eye out for signs indicating Hvalviksskardh. As you approach the mountain pass, the path may become steeper. Continue until you reach the summit of Hvalviksskardh, where you can enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape.
