From the center of Hvalvík, head northwest on the main road, Route 60, towards the village of Sandavágur. Continue walking for about 5 kilometers. Once you reach Sandavágur, follow the signs for Trælanípa, which is located about 2 kilometers further west from the village center. The trail begins at the edge of the village, where you will find a sign that reads 'Trælanípa.'
