Walking
From the center of Hvalvík, start at the local grocery store (Pakkhús). Head southwest on the main road (Road 10), which runs along the coastline. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the fork in the road. Keep to the left at the fork to continue on Road 10. After another 1 kilometer, you will see a small sign directing you to Trappan. Follow the sign and continue down the path, which will lead you to the base of the stairs at Bryggjubakki Tórshavn.

Walking
Alternatively, you can take a scenic route by walking along the coastal path. From the harbor in Hvalvík, take the coastal walking trail that runs parallel to the sea. This path will offer stunning views of the ocean and the surrounding landscape. Follow the trail for approximately 2 kilometers until you reach a small hill. At the top of the hill, you will see the stairs of Trappan in the distance. Descend the hill and follow the path leading directly to Bryggjubakki Tórshavn.

Bicycle
If you have access to a bicycle, start at the local bike rental shop in Hvalvík. Head southwest on Road 10, cycling along the coast. After about 2 kilometers, look for a small path on your right that leads towards Trappan. Follow this path, which will take you directly to the base of the stairs at Bryggjubakki Tórshavn.
