Getting There

    If you are starting from the center of Klaksvik, head towards the main road, which is the Route 10 (also known as Norðari Ringvegur). Walk along this road heading south for approximately 1.5 kilometers. You will pass several shops and cafes along the way. Keep an eye on the signs directing you towards Tórshavn, as this is the direction you will be heading. Continue until you reach a fork in the road. At the fork, take the left path, which will lead you towards the ferry terminal. The path will gradually incline slightly. Once you reach the ferry terminal, cross the street and continue towards the waterfront. You will see signs indicating the way to Tórshavn. Follow the waterfront road until you see the signs for the National Gallery. The gallery is located at 9 Gundadalsvegur, Tórshavn, which should be clearly marked.

    To reach The National Gallery of The Faroe Islands from Klaksvik using public transport, first head to the nearest bus stop located at the center of Klaksvik. Board the bus heading to Tórshavn; buses operate regularly throughout the day. The journey takes about 45 minutes. Once you arrive in Tórshavn, disembark at the main bus terminal. From the bus terminal, walk towards the nearby street, Gundadalsvegur, which is just a short distance away. Continue walking straight on Gundadalsvegur for about 500 meters. The National Gallery will be on your left side at number 9, easily identifiable by its signage.
