Getting There

Walking
Start your journey from the Nólsoy ferry terminal. Exit the terminal and head straight towards the main path leading into the village. As you walk, enjoy the picturesque views of the harbor and surrounding landscape. Continue along the main path until you reach the center of Nólsoy. From there, keep following the road as it leads up the hill towards the island's highest point. You will eventually come across a fork in the road; take the left path that goes uphill. Follow this trail for approximately 20 minutes, and you will reach the lookout area near the old lighthouse. Skansin will be visible from here, and you can enjoy the breathtaking views of the surrounding sea and the mainland of Tórshavn.

If you're up for a bit of adventure, consider hiking to Skansin. From the Nólsoy ferry terminal, take the path leading up the hill. Continue on this path until you reach a plateau with breathtaking views. At the plateau, turn right and follow the marked hiking trail that leads toward Skansin. This hike will take you through beautiful landscapes and take about 30-40 minutes. Be sure to bring water and wear appropriate footwear, as some parts of the trail can be rocky.
