To reach Kallur Lighthouse, begin by taking the Route 56 ferry from Klaksvík on Borðoy Island to Syðradalur on Kalsoy Island. The ferry journey takes approximately 20 minutes. Check the ferry timetable in advance, as departures vary depending on the day. A return ticket costs DKK 40 for adults and DKK 160 for a car including the driver. Pre-booking is highly recommended due to limited capacity.

Upon arriving at Syðradalur, take bus 506 towards Trøllanes, the northernmost village on Kalsoy. The bus ride takes you through narrow tunnels and offers scenic views of the island. A one-way bus ticket costs DKK 20. The bus schedule is coordinated with the ferry arrivals. From Trøllanes, the hike to Kallur Lighthouse begins.

From the bus stop in Trøllanes, follow the road leading north away from the village center. Pass through the red gate and follow the marked path. The hike to the lighthouse is approximately 4.8 km (3 miles) round trip and takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. Be prepared for a steep climb at the beginning and muddy conditions along the way. As of 2024, there is a hiking fee of DKK 200 for adults, DKK 100 for children aged 13-17, and free for children 12 and under.
