    If you are traveling by car, start from the village of Sandvík. Head southeast on the main road (Route 10) towards the direction of the Ásmundarstakkur trailhead. After approximately 2.5 km, you will find a small parking area on the right side of the road marked with a sign for the trailhead. The coordinates for the trailhead are approximately 61.6299° N, 6.9555° W. Ensure to park in designated areas to avoid fines.
