Car
If you are in Skúvoy and have a car, take the main road towards the ferry terminal that leads to Sandur on Sandoy. The ferry, operated by Strandfaraskip Landsins, departs regularly from Skúvoy to Sandur. The ferry ride takes approximately 30 minutes and provides beautiful views of the surrounding islands. Make sure to check the ferry schedule online to know the exact departure times and be aware of any potential costs for the ferry, which is typically around 50 DKK for passengers. Upon arriving at Sandur, drive towards Mørkin Mikla, where Visit Sandoy is located at number 3 210. It’s a short 5-minute drive from the ferry terminal.
Public Transportation
For those without a car, you can access Visit Sandoy via public transportation. From Skúvoy, take the local bus to the ferry terminal. The bus schedule aligns with the ferry departures, but it's recommended to check the local bus and ferry schedule ahead of time. Once you arrive at Sandur after the ferry ride, you can walk to Visit Sandoy, which is about a 10-minute walk from the ferry terminal.
