If you're traveling by car, start from the main town on Suðuroy, which is Tvøroyri. Take Route 1 heading south towards Sandvík. Continue on this road for approximately 15 kilometers. As you approach Sandvík, look for the sign indicating Ásmundarstakkur trailhead. Turn onto the road that leads to the trailhead, which is located at J2HV+XQ. There are parking facilities available near the trailhead.
Public Transport
For those using public transportation, check the local bus schedule since services may vary. Generally, you can catch a bus from Tvøroyri to Sandvík. Once you arrive in Sandvík, you will need to walk approximately 2 kilometers to reach the Ásmundarstakkur trailhead.
