Continue along this road for approximately 1 kilometer until you reach a fork. At the fork, take the left path towards Sandvíkarvegur. Follow Sandvíkarvegur for another 1.5 kilometers. Keep an eye out for the tunnel entrance on your left. The Sandvik Road Tunnel is nestled among the scenic hills, and although it is closed to pedestrian traffic, the view from the entrance is quite remarkable.
