Walking
Yviri við Strond is easily accessible on foot from most parts of central Tórshavn. From the main square, Vaglið, walk east towards the harbor. Pass Tinganes, the historic government buildings, and continue along the waterfront. Yviri við Strond will be on your left. The walk is approximately 5-10 minutes. No costs are involved.

Tórshavn's red city buses, operated by Bussleiðin, offer a convenient and free way to reach Yviri við Strond. Several bus routes stop near the waterfront. Check the real-time map or timetables for the most up-to-date information. Get off at the Yviri við Strond (Eik banki) bus stop. From there, it's a short walk to the promenade. As of 2019, the bus system is free of charge.

If driving, navigate to Tórshavn city center and follow signs towards the harbor. Parking is available in the area, but it can be limited. Be aware of time restrictions, indicated by blue signs. Parking is generally free, but time limits vary from 30 minutes to 8 hours. A parking disc must be displayed in the front window, set to the time of arrival. Failure to display the disc or exceeding the time limit may result in a fine of DKK 200 plus a handling fee of DKK 100. Some parking garages are available with costs that can vary.
