  • Walking

    From the city center (e.g., near the Tórshavn Cathedral), head south on the main road, Jøklagøta. Continue straight until the roundabout at the intersection with Vøttanesvegur. Take the second exit onto Vøttanesvegur, and walk until the intersection with Gundadalsvegur. Turn left onto Gundadalsvegur, where you'll find The National Gallery of The Faroe Islands at number 9 on your right. The walk is approximately 10 minutes from the city center. There are no costs associated with walking.

    To reach the National Gallery of the Faroe Islands by bus, find the nearest bus stop in Tórshavn. Take bus number 2 to the bus stop called Gundadalur, which is right by the gallery. Alternatively, most buses also stop at R. C. Effersøes gøta (Læknamiðstøðin), about 300 meters from the museum. Since 2007, all local buses in Tórshavn are free.
