Car
From Tórshavn, take Route 10 towards Vágar. Continue on Route 10 until you reach the town of Sørvágur. From Sørvágur, follow the signs toward Lake Sørvágsvatn. After passing the lake, you will find a small parking area near Hvannhagi. The drive takes about 1 hour from Tórshavn. Be aware that parking may incur a fee, so have some Faroese króna ready.
Public Transportation
To reach Hvannhagi using public transport, take a bus from Tórshavn to Sørvágur. Check the latest bus schedules on the local bus service website. Once you arrive in Sørvágur, walk towards Lake Sørvágsvatn, which leads you to Hvannhagi. The walk from the bus stop to Hvannhagi takes approximately 30 minutes. Be sure to check the return bus times so you are not stranded.
Hiking
If you are an adventurous traveler, consider hiking to Hvannhagi from Sørvágur. From Sørvágur, follow the marked hiking trails leading up to the stunning viewpoint of Lake Sørvágsvatn, and then continue towards Hvannhagi.
