If you are traveling by car, start from Sørvágsvatn (the largest lake in the Faroe Islands). Head southeast on Route 40 towards Miðvágur. After approximately 15 minutes, follow signs to Route 43, which leads to Klaksvík. Continue on Route 43 for about 30 minutes until you reach Klaksvík. From Klaksvík, follow the signs for Klakkur. The road will lead you to a parking area near the trailhead for the hike up to Klakkur.

It is about a 1.5-kilometer walk from the bus stop to the trailhead.
