Walking
Start your journey from the center of Vágur. Head northeast on the main road, known as 'Vágavegur', towards the town of Hoyvík. Continue on this road for about 3 kilometers. As you walk, enjoy the scenic views of the surrounding mountains and the ocean. After approximately 30-40 minutes of walking, you will reach the outskirts of Hoyvík. At this point, follow the signs towards 'Karlamagnusarbreyt'. Hoyvikar Kirkja is located at '26HH+VXM, Karlamagnusarbreyt, Hoyvík 188'. You should see the church’s distinctive architecture as you approach.
Public Transport
From the center of Vágur, walk to the nearest bus stop located at 'Vágur sentrum'. Take Bus line 300 towards Tórshavn. The bus will take you to Hoyvík; however, ensure to check the current bus schedule for any changes. Once you arrive at the bus stop in Hoyvík, walk approximately 10 minutes to reach Hoyvikar Kirkja at '26HH+VXM, Karlamagnusarbreyt, Hoyvík 188'. Follow the road signs to guide you to the church.
Biking
If you prefer biking, you can rent a bicycle in Vágur. Start from the center of Vágur and head northeast on 'Vágavegur'. The ride is about 3 kilometers and should take around 15-20 minutes. Follow the same route as you would by foot, enjoying the beautiful scenery along the way. Once you arrive in Hoyvík, navigate to 'Karlamagnusarbreyt' where Hoyvikar Kirkja is located at '26HH+VXM, Karlamagnusarbreyt, Hoyvík 188'.
