Walking
From Vágur, start at the main square near the church. Head west on the main road (Route 1) towards Sandavágur. This route is approximately 4 km and takes about 50 minutes to walk. Follow the signs for Sandavágur as you walk. Once you reach Sandavágur, you will see the beautiful harbor. Continue walking along the waterfront until you reach the end of the harbor area. Look for signs that lead towards Trælanípa, which is located northwest of the harbor.

Upon reaching Sandavágur, you can take a short detour to the Trælanípa viewpoint. From the harbor, walk towards the hills on the left side. There is a well-marked hiking path that will lead you to Trælanípa. The hike should take about 30-40 minutes. The path might be steep and rocky, so wear comfortable shoes. Enjoy the spectacular views along the way as you ascend.

Alternatively, you can take a local bus from Vágur to Sandavágur. Check the local bus schedule for the latest times. Once you arrive in Sandavágur, follow the same directions as above to reach Trælanípa. The bus journey lasts about 10-15 minutes, and then you will need to walk to the viewpoint.
