Getting There

  • Walking

    Start from the center of Sørvágur, near the Sørvágur Church. Head north on the main road (Miðvágurvegur) towards the lake, Sørvágsvatn. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with the road leading to the airport. At this intersection, turn left, and continue walking until you see the Visit Vágar office on your right. It is a short walk of about 20 minutes.

  • Biking

    If you have access to a bicycle, you can start from the center of Sørvágur. Ride north on Miðvágurvegur, heading towards Sørvágsvatn. When you reach the intersection with the road leading to the airport, turn left. Continue cycling along this road until you spot the Visit Vágar office on your right. This route is approximately 10 minutes by bike.

  • Public Transport

    While there may not be direct public transport to Visit Vágar, you can take a local bus from Sørvágur to Vágar Airport. Check the bus schedule beforehand. Once you arrive at the airport, it is just a short walk back towards Sørvágur along the road, and you will find Visit Vágar on your left side after a 5-minute walk.
