    From the center of Rakiraki, head south on the main road (Queens Road). Walk along this road for approximately 10 kilometers, enjoying the scenic views of the Fijian countryside. Keep an eye out for local signs directing to Tubarua. Once you reach the sign for Vuwa Falls, take the path that leads into the wooded area. This path can be muddy and steep in places, so be careful and wear appropriate footwear. Follow the trail for about 1 kilometer until you reach the base of Vuwa Falls. The sound of the waterfall will guide you as you approach.

  • Local Transport (Taxi or Van)

    If walking is difficult, consider hailing a local taxi or van from Rakiraki. Ask the driver to take you to 'Vuwa Falls' or to 'Tubarua'. The driver will take you close to the trailhead for the falls. Negotiate the price before starting your journey. Taxi fares from Rakiraki to Tubarua may vary, so it's good to negotiate. Expect to pay approximately FJD 40-60. Taxi flagfall in Viti Levu is around FJ$5 from Nadi Airport, and FJ$2 elsewhere between 6 am and 9 pm. It is FJ$3 outside of these hours. The drop charge is FJ$0.10 per 100 metres, and the waiting charge is FJ$0.18 per minute.
