Hietalahden Kauppahalli on Helsingissä sijaitseva historiallinen kauppahalli vuodelta 1903, joka toimii nykyään elävänä ravintola- ja kahvilakeskittymänä. Jugend-tyylisessä punatiilisessä rakennuksessa maistuvat maailman maut: italialaista palapizzaa, portugalilaisia herkkuja, japanilaista katuruokaa ja paljon muuta. Aamiainen, lounas ja illallinen tunnelmallisessa ympäristössä Hietalahdentorin laidalla. Kesällä terassi ja kirppis tuovat lisäväriä.

Historia ja Arkkitehtuuri

Hietalahden Kauppahalli avattiin vuonna 1903 arkkitehti Selim A. Lindqvistin suunnittelemassa jugend-tyylisessä punatiilisessä rakennuksessa Hietalahdentorin reunalla. Alun perin tarkoitettu elintarvikkeiden säilytykseen ja myyntiin, halli suojasi tuotteita säältä ja pidenti niiden säilyvyyttä. Se on Helsingin toiseksi vanhin kauppahalli, jolla on vaiheikas historia: perinteisestä kauppapaikasta luomuhalliin, antiikki- ja taidehalliin ja takaisin ruokakeskittymäksi vuonna 2013.

Ravintolatarjonta

Nykyään halli on monikulttuurinen ruokaparatiisi, jossa yli kymmenen ravintolaa ja kahvilaa tarjoaa makumatkoja ympäri maailmaa. Italialainen Izza palvelee roomalaistyylisellä palapizzalla rapealla hapanjuuripohjalla, täytteitä lihasta vegaanisiin vaihtoehtoihin. Portugalilainen Petiscaria grillailee piri piri -kanaa, bacalhaun ja seitan-annoksia yrttikastikkeilla. Japanilainen Tokyo Street houkuttelee nuudeleilla, gyozalla ja sake-minibaarilla. Muita helmiä ovat filippiiniläinen, lähi-idän maut ja soppakeittiö lounaalle.

Ilmapiiri ja Tapahtumat

Kauppahallin tunnelma on lämmin ja elävä, punatiiliset seinät ja korkeat katot luovat kodikasta charmia. Lounasaikaan halli täyttyy paikallisista ja turisteista, illalla tunnelma rentoutuu. Kesällä ravintolat laajenevat aurinkoiselle terassille torin puolelle, ja Hietsu-kirppis tuo vintage-viboja. Halli on suosittu turistinähtävyys, joka yhdistää historian ja modernin ruokakulttuurin.
