Car
If you are traveling by car, start from central Helsinki and head towards the eastern part of the city. Take the E18 road towards Kotka. Use exit 2 towards Kumpula and follow signs for Katajanokka. Once you reach Katajanokka, find parking at one of the public parking areas. Depending on traffic, it should take about 15-20 minutes. After parking, walk towards the waterfront area where you can board a ferry to Katajanokanluoto.
Public Transportation
To reach Katajanokanluoto using public transport, take the metro to the 'Kaisaniemi' station. From there, transfer to tram line 3, heading towards 'Katajanokka'. Once you arrive at the 'Katajanokka' tram stop, walk to the nearby ferry terminal. Purchase a ferry ticket at the terminal for a small fee (around €6). The ferry will take you directly to Katajanokanluoto. The total journey may take around 30-40 minutes.
Ferry
If you are already in the Archipelago and wish to reach Katajanokanluoto, locate the nearest ferry terminal that services the islands. Depending on your location, you may need to take a local ferry to the main ferry terminal in Helsinki first. Once at the terminal, purchase a ticket for the ferry to Katajanokanluoto.
