Public Transport
If you're starting from the city center (e.g., Helsinki Central Station), take the metro from 'Helsinki Central' station towards 'Ruoholahti'. Get off at 'Kamppi' station (1 stop). From Kamppi, take tram line 3 from 'Kamppi' tram stop towards 'Munkkiniemi'. Ride for 5 stops and get off at 'Lönnrotin puistikko'. The sculpture of Elias Lönnrot will be directly in front of you.
Walking
From the Esplanadi Park, walk towards the intersection of Mikonkatu and Kaivokatu. Head southwest on Mikonkatu, then turn left onto Mannerheimintie. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Lönnrotinkatu. Turn right onto Lönnrotinkatu, and then take a left onto Lönnrotin puistikko. The sculpture is located in the park area.
Bus
From the Helsinki Central Station, walk to the nearby 'Rautatientori' bus stop. Take bus 24 towards 'Pasilan asema'. Ride for 3 stops and get off at 'Lönnrotin puistikko' stop. The Elias Lönnrot sculpture is located in the park just a short walk from the bus stop.
