Exploring Jaroslavlin Aukio: The Heart of Jyväskylä

Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in the central area of Jyväskylä, you can easily walk to Jaroslavlin aukio. Start at the Jyväskylä City Hall located at Vapaudenkatu 32. From the City Hall, head east on Vapaudenkatu, passing by several shops and cafes. After about 500 meters, you will reach the intersection with Kyllikinkatu; turn left onto Kyllikinkatu. Continue straight for another 300 meters until you reach the square. Jaroslavlin aukio will be on your right, marked by its open space and surrounding buildings.

• Bus

  To reach Jaroslavlin aukio by bus, head to the nearest bus stop, which is likely near your accommodation or in the city center. You can take Bus 1, 2, or 4 from the Jyväskylä bus station. Board the bus and ride for about 10-15 minutes, depending on the traffic. Disembark at the 'Keskusta' stop. From there, walk south on Kauppakatu for about 200 meters. Turn right onto Kyllikinkatu, and after approximately 300 meters, you will arrive at Jaroslavlin aukio.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer to cycle, rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in Jyväskylä or use a bike-sharing service. Start from the city center and head east on Vapaudenkatu. Continue biking straight until you reach Kyllikinkatu and turn left. Cycle for about 300 meters, and you will find Jaroslavlin aukio on your right. There are bike racks available near the square for parking.
